YAY! I have FINALLY updated my gallery! Yes, indeedy, there are all new things for you to see here in DA world.
Now, granted, I think the "newest" thing I've uploaded is from sometime in Fall '05, but ever since my art course at college ended in Dec. '05, I've been struggling like crazy to get back into a creative phase....
You see, I'll get into a really creative phase, wherein I find myself doing two or three major drawings (major meaning tons of details, lots of shading, etc.). After that, I'm completely drained and it takes about a year for me to rejuvenate. If you look closely, you'll find that many of the dates on my art tend to coincide with Spring and Fall, as sometimes it's less than a year, and other times it's more than a year.... But there are certain months that seem to have seen far more productivity from me than others.
But, it's been a year and a half since my last major creative phase, and I don't know if it's because for my art course I had to maintain momentum for three to four months, where normally my creative phases only last a couple weeks, a month at most. So maybe it's that I got extra drained. I dunno.
I *can* tell you that in terms of digital graphics, I've been going pretty steady. I did a really fun concept poster for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, back before we had any kind of marketing material. I just recently started and finished a concept poster for the novel I'm writing; it's a movie poster, since the story started out as an idea for a script (and I'm hoping that after getting published, I can option it into a movie). I also did a slew of avatar/banner sets when I finally got my own copy of the 1985 claymation film, "The Adventures of Mark Twain".
I would post the above, but I don't know how things work here on DA concerning using images from movies, etc. And the poster for my novel utilizes images I saved from buycostumes.com, and I don't know how well that'd go over in terms of views on "stock" and what-not. I'm still learning when it comes to stock and photo-manipping and stuff, so I'm trying to step lightly.
So, since I'm not going to post these in my DA gallery for fear of violations, my next journal entry will feature descriptions and links to these items in my Photobucket.
One of these days soon, I'll have a personal website up. I had a paid-for site last year that I made for Pirates of the Caribbean, but I had to let the account lapse at the end of the one-year contract 'cause I didn't have the money to renew. So, I'm currently looking around at free hosts as well as working on creating my non-PotC pages.
So, soon enough I'll have ALL my art online in one place (besides Photobucket).
Well, it's VERY late, so I'll be going now...
Ta ta!

Let's Update This Thing, Shall We?
Well, how's that for not updating my journal regularly? LOL
So, a lot has happened since my last journal update, and yet not. I'm still in college, still in Springfield, still in my apartment. But I have a roommate, tons of friends, failing classes, and having lots of parties, so things are the same and yet different.
Tumblr has become a big thing, so I highly recommend checking out mine: http://tinaalsgirl.tumblr.com
I've organized a family trip to Branson for this coming weekend, and then my roomie and I will be taking another trip to Disney World come January... and this time we'll be flying! It's been nearly a decade since I've been on
UGH. Stupid April Fool's
Of all the freaking avatars DA could've put on my freaking account, it just HAD to be from stinkin' Twilight.
Couldn't they have given me a Lady Gaga or Seeker avvie? At least those I wouldn't be ashamed to be wearing!
Of course, if it HAS to be Twilight, I'm definitely glad they put me on Team Jacob instead of *shudder* Team Edward.
I will admit that I was on Team Jacob until Breaking Dawn, so...
Two New Pieces!
Like, omigod, I've updated my gallery with two all-new pieces of artwork! And guess what? They're both chibis!
My chibis seem to be extremely popular with my friends and family, and I find that they're pretty simple to do, so I may just be sticking with these for a while. And I might just be opening up commissions in the very near future, once I figure out the logistics--pricing, medium, etc.
